Annual Potluck Dinner and Auction and Private Preview of The Orchid Show at Chicago Botanic Garden

Special Evening Event

Please join the Illinois Orchid Society for an engaging evening of everything orchids, celebrating the 2026 Annual Potluck and Auction, and private previewing of the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Orchid Show.

In order to attend this event, you must be a current IOS member, register through Evite, and present an IOS membership card upon event entry.

Members may attend with a guest and/or immediate family. Please bring a dish to share for 6-8 people for each member of your party.

5:30 pm – Doors open, silent auction bidding opens

5:45 pm – Please have your dishes to share arranged on the buffet

6:00 pm – Please have your plants in place for judging

6:00 pm – Dinner buffet opens

7:30 pm – Live auction starts

8:30 pm – Silent auction closes

Live Auction Items

We will have several amazing orchids up for auction, to be announced closer to the event. In addition, there will be wonderful silent auction items and packages available.

Fun with a Purpose

One hundred percent of the night’s income will be donated to help an organization or researcher who is committed to orchid conservation.
