The IOS fall show will take place October 12-13 at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
Members’ Holiday Party at Hausermann
Gather and meet old and new friends, and enjoy the sights of Hausermann's amazing greenhouse. Join us for an enjoyable potluck luncheon, our show-and-tell tables of members’ orchids in bloom, and orchid-themed Sneaky Santa gift exchange.
May Meeting
At the May meeting, guest speaker Tim Culbertson will present on Paphiopedilum orchids.
April Meeting
Nick Rust, owner and founder of RustyExotics Orchids, will present “Orchids: the Beautiful, the Unique, and the Weird.” In addition, we will have a workshop on AOS judging delivered by fellow IOS member, Kay Perry.

The IOS spring show will take place March 9th and 10th at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

Orchids for Everyone 2024 will be hosted by the Wisconsin Orchid Society the first weekend of March.

Chicago Suburban Orchid Show
The Batavia Orchid Society is hosting the Chicago Suburban Orchid Show. The IOS will be participating by setting up a display showing off many beautiful orchids grown by our members. This show is close to home so hopefully many of you will be able to attend!
2024 IOS Dinner and Auction
Our annual Illinois Orchid Society dinner and auction will take place on Saturday evening, February 10th. Members will enjoy a preview of the Chicago Botanic Garden’s orchid show, a potluck dinner, and silent and live auctions benefitting orchid conservation.
AOS Chicago Judging Center Meeting
The February judging session of the American Orchid Society will take place on Saturday the 10th at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Student presentations begin at 9:30. Observers are welcome.
Orchid Quest
Our first away show in 2024 will be Orchid Quest, hosted by the Orchid Growers Guild. It’s sure to be a great show! Hopefully many of you will be able to attend.
January Meeting
Come to the January meeting for a workshop on lighting techniques, presented by members Barry Lubin and Steve Robinson. The main presentation, “How We Grow Our Plants,” will be presented by IOS President George Titterton and will feature various members’ growing locations, including inside, outside, greenhouse, windowsill, and walls.
